Scanning Barcode on Mobile Application

Scanning barcodes is a feature of the Ventory mobile app that allows users to visually validate barcodes in real time, configure and process unrecognized barcodes, and automatically share this knowledge and configuration across the entire company.


Follow the steps below on the Ventory mobile app to scan barcodes for a user-assigned task and map them to the correct properties :


Step 1 : Go to Ventory mobile app > Stocks (icon on the bottom tab) > List of products appears > Select the Product you want to scan


Step 2 : Select the Scan icon in the bottom right corner of the application.


Step 3: You will be prompted to the scanner window > align your mobile correctly with the product barcode > allow the system to scan.


Step 4: Once the application recognizes the barcodes, they will turn green, indicating that the barcodes are recognized and mapped to the database.


Step 5: If a certain barcode turns red > click on the barcode > a pop-up window appears on the screen with the barcode properties > map the barcode to the correct property. Repeat this process until all barcodes turn green.


Step 6: A confirmation pop-up window will appear on the screen once all the barcodes are successfully mapped to their properties.
