Use Case : Cycle Count
Cycle counting is the periodic counting of individual products in your field or remote inventory periodically and as required to ensure the accuracy of your field or remote inventory quantities and values.
Ventory's Cycle Count feature helps customers accurately and efficiently count their field or remote inventory to maintain precise quantities.
💡Cycle Counting can be done on the bins or products.

Executing a task
Once the Cycle Count task has been created the Field Engineers will get a notification on their Ventory Mobile App asking them to perform the task.
The following steps need to be taken on the Mobile App to complete the Cycle count task:
- Click the task and start it
- Manually select the bin or scan it by clicking Scan Bins.
- Either select or scan a product
- Once you’ve scanned all your barcodes click finish scan and confirm.
- Once all stock has been scanned, go back to detail of the task
- Finish the task
💡 There are 2 types of products that can be counted, either a quantity product (there are no serial numbers to scan) or a serial product.
TO BE VERIFIED! If you did select validation you will need multi barcodes (a group of barcodes belonging to 1 product).
If you did not select validation you can still use the multi barcodes as they also contain the serial number/LPN.
After completing a task you may update your stock based on what you just counted.
